LiveLot privacy policy

Version 1.1  ·  Effective 8 October 2026  ·  Reviewed at least once a year

This policy explains what data LiveLot and codestrato.com handle, where it is kept, and what you can ask us to do with it.

The short version. LiveLot keeps your shop data on your own computer. CodeStrato does not receive it, sell it or share it. When you connect TikTok Shop, LiveLot reads order status, amounts, fees and product stock so it can work out what sold and what you made. It does not keep buyer names, addresses or phone numbers.

1. Who we are

CodeStrato is a trading name of Vibes Gym Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10505142), registered office Unit 5d St. Francis Way, Shefford, England, SG17 5DZ. Contact: hello@codestrato.com.

For data a seller keeps in LiveLot, the seller is in charge of that data and decides what goes in it. For enquiries sent to us through codestrato.com, CodeStrato is the controller.

2. What LiveLot handles

TikTok Shop order responses can include buyer details. LiveLot discards buyer names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses as soon as a response arrives and never writes them to disk.

3. Where it is kept

All LiveLot data is stored in a database file on the seller's own computer, with automatic local backups in the same folder. It is not uploaded to CodeStrato or any other server. Access keys for TikTok Shop and Shopify are encrypted with the computer's own keychain (macOS Keychain or Windows Data Protection), so they cannot be read from a copy of the database. Data moving between LiveLot and TikTok Shop or Shopify is encrypted with HTTPS.

LiveLot is used by sellers in the United Kingdom, so the data is stored and processed in the United Kingdom. The only third parties LiveLot talks to are TikTok Shop and, if the seller chooses, Shopify.

4. What we do not do

5. How long it is kept

The seller decides. Data stays on their computer until they delete it. Local backups older than 14 days are deleted automatically. Pressing Disconnect in LiveLot's TikTok Shop settings deletes the TikTok access keys at once, and LiveLot can no longer reach the shop. When a seller stops using LiveLot, deleting the LiveLot data folder removes everything, and we will help with that on request.

6. Requests from buyers and sellers

If a buyer asks a seller or TikTok Shop to see, correct or delete their data, we will help the seller find and remove anything relating to that order in LiveLot within 30 days. A seller can ask us for help with any of their own rights under UK GDPR by emailing hello@codestrato.com.

7. If something goes wrong

If we find or suspect a security problem affecting LiveLot users' data, we will tell TikTok Shop within 24 hours, tell affected sellers within 72 hours, and report it to the Information Commissioner's Office when the law requires. Details are in our security policy.

8. codestrato.com

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message so we can reply. We keep them in our email account for up to 2 years, then delete them. The website sets no tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Complaints

Please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

10. Changes

We will update the version and date above whenever this policy changes, and tell LiveLot users about material changes in the app.
